The Anthropology of Gardening

Updated: Jun 4, 2023

How and why should we concern ourselves about humans, and human interaction within the food system? Let both anthropology and social work guide your thinking in this blog.

Anthropology is the study of human behavior across time. Social work is a profession that aids and assists people of less means to be able to lift themselves up and out of poverty, or their current life situations, to improve their quality of life so much so that they become more autonomous and less dependent on others for basic survival.

This blog explores the plethora of scientific evidenced-based practices and social theory available for the lay person, or researcher, to access and participate in the process of discourse regarding the benefits of gardening in our lives.
